The contest is the largest BBQ sauce contest in the world with nearly 400 entries from 36 states and 8 countries. Each entry was judged in a blind tasting on their appearance, texture, taste alone, and taste on unseasoned barbecue meat.
In a newly published feature from Chowhound, top BBQ experts and celebrity pitmasters—including Food Network judges, television hosts, and acclaimed restaurant chefs—were asked to reveal the absolute best store-bought sauces money can buy. Guess who took home the crown?
