Ingredients

  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup Meat Mitch White Sauce
  • 2 cups freshly shredded cheddar cheese, divided
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 4 green onions, chopped
  • 12 Hawaiian rolls
  • ¼ cup butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon Meat Mitch WHOMP! Rub
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Make the chicken filling: add the shredded chicken, softened cream cheese, and White Sauce to a large bowl. Add 1 cup of the shredded cheddar and stir until well combined. Fold in the chopped green onions.
  3. Assemble the sliders: slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally, keeping the rolls connected if possible. Place the bottom half in a 9x13-inch baking dish and spread the White Sauce chicken mixture evenly over the rolls.
  4. Add the cheese: sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of cheddar evenly over the chicken mixture, then place the top half of the rolls over the cheese.
  5. Make the WHOMP! Butter: in a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, garlic powder, WHOMP! Rub, and dried parsley. Pour or brush the seasoned butter generously over the tops of the rolls, letting some run down the sides.
  6. Bake: cover the baking dish with foil and bake at 350°F for 15–20 minutes. Remove the foil and continue baking 5–10 minutes more, until the cheese is melted and the tops are golden brown.
  7. Serve: let the sliders cool for a few minutes, then slice into individual sliders and serve hot.
  8. Mitch Tip: want them extra saucy? Serve with a side of White Sauce for dipping -- it cuts right through the melted cheddar and buttery WHOMP! goodness.
